Play around with the distance you stand from crash mat
Incrementally increase duration
Add distractions from fiddling with food to playing at home/on lead/garden/out easy/out hard & with movement/noise/scent
NOTE – Add release cue when dog really happy to come back to mat

– Do not worry about adding a ‘Crash’ cue… DO NOT RUSH!!! Train the dog you got!! If you take your time your dog will be more than happy to go ‘Crash’!
