Pavlov’s Breakfast is a term we are using to describe ‘conditioning a positive emotional response’ to target scent. We want our dogs to recognise the scent then correctly predict that something great is going to happen…

Place the jar next to your dogs food bowl when you feed. Present the jar before letting out of the car, or unclipping lead or getting a ball… If you presented the scent before everything great in your dogs life, then pretty soon he or she is going to be hunting out Pavlov’s Breakfast.

This Rapid Reinforcement game is all about prompt, accurately timed, continual reinforcement. With a lump or the Kong itself, or maybe a tin with target scent inside, on the ground… Pay pay pay!!!
