Cue a ‘sit’ Altho also use ‘down’ & ‘stand’ too. Start with YOUR dogs easiest most reliable behaviour
Mark extended duration ‘sit’ (up to 30 secs?)
Add side to side movement but for less time than the extended ‘sit’
Add Cue when behaviour RELIABLE

D’S
Distance Play around with the distance. If you can walk 360* Walking away will be easier
Duration Incrementally increase duration
Distraction Play at home/on lead/garden/out easy/out hard/movement/noise/scent
NOTE – Try to change only 1 element at a time.. Set your dog up for success
